Waitakere Auckland Brass was incredibly pleased to see two of our up-and-coming young stars selected to take part in the 2026 National Secondary Schools’ Brass Band.
Representing Waitakere Auckland Brass were Kie'eteau Latu on Cornet and Harry Donald on BB♭ Bass. It is fantastic to see these two talented young musicians continuing to develop and gaining valuable experience playing alongside some of the best secondary school brass musicians from around New Zealand.
We were also very proud to see our own Principal Euphonium, Linda Filimoehala, take on the important role of Musical Director for the 2026 National Secondary Schools’ Brass Band.
Congratulations to Kie'eteau, Harry and Linda. It is wonderful to see members of the Waitakere Auckland Brass family involved at this level, and especially encouraging to see the next generation of our players developing and representing the band so well.
