Proms At The Playhouse

This concert celebrated everything British and royal. The Playhouse Theatre in Glen Eden was decked out with union jack bunting and balloons to welcome our audience in style.

The audience brought their best singing voices for 'Land Of Hope And Glory' as the auditorium filled with the amazing brass sound.

Musical Director Grant Langdon chose a few numbers for our talented soloists to perform and both Andrew Large (cornet) and Steven Booth (baritone) wowed from centre stage to make sure this was a night to remember.

This was a fun-packed concert of foot-stamping, flag-waving, party-popping, sing-along Proms music.

The finale was a rousing time of audience participation, many dressed in red, white & blue, Land of Hope of Glory never felt and sounded so good.

Our concertgoers were in for a treat with our prize draw as The London Lolly Shop donated a brilliant 'Best of British' hamper as our first prize filled with goodies from their extensive range for British products.

Thanks to The Waitakere Playhouse Theatre Trust for their support of this event.
